Hi!
Well, the fireworks came and went and the new year is well underway. The band returned to our Thursday night Momo's gig a couple of weeks ago to a full house and plenty of fireworks of our own! Thanks to everyone for making 2008 such a great year for Nakia & His Southern Cousins. We couldn't have done it without ya! Now we've got another year full of great things already in the works, and hopefully some more of life's great surprises along the way. Let's talk about some stuff going on now that I want to put a bug in your ear about... |
PLEASE VOTE - AUSTIN MUSIC POLL IS OUT NOW!!
Click Banner To Vote Now
Every year, the Austin Chronicle puts on the Austin Music Awards during SXSW and you have the final say on who they pick for the winners in EACH CATEGORY!! With
less than two weeks left to vote, I wanted to send you a quick
reminder and offer up just a few suggestions for the ballot. Call it, the
official Nakia endorsement if you will.
Remember,
anyone can vote - whether you live in Austin, TX or not! However,
ballot stuffing is a no-no, so please only vote once and then forward
this email on to someone you think might not have voted yet. With so
much amazing talent to choose from each year, (if you are in the Austin area) I encourage you to go out and see some live music this next
week - perhaps specifically pick some shows you've always been curious
about but were too busy to catch, or see something you would never see
just to expand your palette a bit and help to make your votes really
count! Below you will find a sample of categories that I would be
thrilled for you to consider me for, but whether it's me, my band The
Southern Cousins, or someone else... Remember, this is the Live Music
Capital of the World and we would appreciate your vote. Thanks and see
you soon!
