All The Gold In California
Nakia Performing Friday In LA, Saturday In Anaheim
Hi,
OK - So just a quick note to remind you of a couple of great
things happening out here in LA on Friday and Saturday. Lucky
for me, I made it out of Austin JUST in time before the winter
storm hit and grounded planes and such!
I am enjoying my time out in LA so far. Catching up with
friends and writing some new songs. Tomorrow night is
rehearsal with the band that is performing with me on Friday
night at The Mint. I hope to see you there.
Nakia - This Weekend Live In Los Angeles and Anaheim!
Get Out Early To The Mint On Friday To Get A Good Seat And Stay All Night!
The first show is a
Sin City
Presents show put on a sweetheart by the name of
Shilah
Morrow at The Mint - Friday 1/19 @ 8:30PM. I
start out the night with
a full band set followed by The
Small Stars (Sorry, but I did hear from Vic and he's
running from a bad check rap and won't be in LA), then later
in the night
is
my favorite band to move to Austin last year... The
Mother
Truckers! Hell yes!
This will be my
California
debut with a
full band, and I am blessed to have the amazing Victor
Indrizzo (Beck, Macy Gray, Aimee Mann)
behind the kit and his good friends, Martyn Lenoble
(Porno For Pyros, The Cult) on bass,
Jeremy Ruzumna (Joss Stone, Rod
Stewart, Macy Gray) and
Jinsoo Lim (Macy Gray, Rosey
) playing guitar. Make
sure to tell 'em
at the door that you're there to see Nakia!
Then... I have once again been invited to perform at the
John
Lennon Songwriting Bus!
This makes my
fourth
appearance at the bus and my second one at a
NAMM Show. This particular show will be in
front of the Marriott on Convention Way at 1PM
and I will doing this show solo with a
piano.
