Rocky Horror Was A Real Blast! Thank You!
I Came. I Time Warped. I Loved It!

Nakia sings Savoy Truffle

Hello,
As sad as it is, everything must come to an end and that includes the highly successful revival of The Rocky Horror Show that Zachary Scott Theatre put on this fall that I was very privileged to be a part of.

As you can see here on the left... I got to play dress up every night as the ill-fated delivery boy, "Eddie." There's really something to be said for a role that allows you to dance your booty off AND get hacked up with a pick axe every night!

Thanks to everyone who made it out. If you missed - Maybe I'll get a chance to do it again soon! Now, onto the news...

Wake Up With Nakia!
Fox 7 Morning News Welcomes Nakia Thursday, Nov.30th
Vic Returns To The Stage Set your TiVos and VCRs (yes, yes, I still use one!) to record my performance on Fox 7 Morning News here in Austin. (That's channel 2 on Time Warner and Grande cable)

My segment should air at approximately 7:30AM and if all goes well, I will get to do 2 songs. Keep your fingers crossed that it's a slow news day. And keep your fingers crossed that I wake up in time! LOL! I'm not very good with alarm clocks. (I can provide previous employer references! LOL!)

Hmmmm... Hot Cocoa, Hot Coffee, & Good Tunes
Join Nakia At Flipnotics This Friday Night - Dec. 1st 10:30PM
Mark Hallman At His Congress House Studios I hope you can make this one. It's going to be seriously special. Grab your buddies, your girl, your guy, or both of 'em if that's your thing... Whatever.

I haven't played a solo show since leaving The Small Stars in April to work on my solo project and as I reach the crest of said project (a debut CD and putting together a band), I am beginning to perform some solo songwriter shows to preview some of the material from the record and just pump you up for what is to come!

And man, oh man! It's going to be good times when it's all said and done. I go on at 10:30PM. You might want to get there early and grab a good seat. Flips is a bit smaller than your normal room, but GREAT for songwriters like myself. See ya there!

Remember This Christmas With Strings Attached
Nakia Once Again Joins Will Taylor & Strings Attached For An Evening Of Great Music
Friday, Dec. 8th, I have been asked to be a part of the upcoming Will Taylor & Strings Attached show - An Austin Christmas. The show will be at St. David’s Episcopal Church in downtown Austin and will also feature Wendy Colonna, Ed Jurdi, Rodney Connell, Kat Edmonson, Billy Harvey, and a few surprise guests!

If you haven’t treated yourself to a Strings Attached show yet, there’s no better time to start than with this one! ESPECIALLY since Will is arranging a very special version of my song, “Remember This Christmas.”
