A Week Without Hamburgers

Well, it’s late than it should be and I am actually sleepy. Go figure!

It’s for a good cause though. Today was a good day. (Thanks Ice Cube)

I got some things done around the house, ran some errands, had a good solo dinner with myself at Pappasito’s and had my favorite dessert with way too much whip cream while I watched the Bears game on the screen and drunken people put sombreros on their heads while the staff belted out Happy Birthday over and over again.

I got to see my favorite TV show, Six Feet Under and on top of it all - I reconnected with a very old friend who I haven’t spoken to since 1997 or 1998. In either case… It was a conversation that was much overdue and I was thrilled to speak with her for the 2 hours we talked.

I just wanted to write a quick note and say those things. I also wanted to say that I hit the Hole In The Wall on Sunday night for the glorious return of Paul Minor’s Rock & Roll Free For All with Superego. That night Superego consisted of Landis Armstrong, Kevin Remme, Andrew Duplantis… Good times. I was asked by Paul to step up to the mic and sing a very special song for the occasion. With the passing of Freddy Fender this weekend, it was only appropriate that I do Wasted Days & Wasted Nights. It was bad ass.

Oh and just a note… I am not eating any hamburgers this week dammit! I won’t give in!!! ARGH!
