OK - So I had a whole post typed up and accidentally used the Google bar and lost it.

Here’s what you missed in a nutshell.

I am trying to book gigs back toward home to give me incentive to go home and visit, despite typical family drama.

I am getting attention via Sonicbids. Which is really good news! I have now added the EPK link to my email signature.

I have decided that they must still make Coca-Cola with cocaine because I just can’t seem to quit. I mean, I quit McDonald’s after reading Fast Food Nation and I think that is a big step for my fat ass, but come on…Can’t I just put the soda down? I wouldn’t mind ditching meat altogether, but I am not sure I am there yet.

I am missing my piano. Not the digital one, but the upright that I bought in 1997 from the Salvation Army in Fort Payne. Lee Cobble sold it to me for $50. I moved it that day. It moved 4 more times and then because of my loser roommate leaving me in the middle of the day without any notice and my car breaking down at the same time, I was forced to sell it to my ex-roommate and her new husband. Although they swore to sell it back when I was ready to get it. It seems unlikely that I will be able to retrieve it at this time. But boy I miss having a piano around that doesn’t have to be set up and put away.

I booked 2 more gigs with Carousel Lounge. I can’t remember if I put that in my last entry or not. Things went great there, so why not, right? Speaking of Carousel… There is now video footage of my performance there this past Tuesday up at the site. Just head over and check out the front page or the Downloads section.

It’s my version of George Michael’s “One More Try” and I hope you dig it as much as I dig playing it!
