Nakia Is G Style Magazine September/October Cover Boy!

I was looking through my posts and suddenly realized that in all the ACL prep and craziness I totally missed the opportunity to post about this amazing honor. But here I am – making up for it. I hope!

In Austin, we are really fortunate to have this great new magazine called L Style/G Style. It’s bi-monthly and they feature some amazing members of the Austin GLBT community. So far, each issue has had a theme with each cover (L Style and G Style) and feature story. This last issue – the one I was on – they chose music! My good friend Amy Cook totally rocked out the L Style cover and I was more than happy to pose for Michael Thad Carter, the photographer who took the shot on the covers and inside the magazine as well.

I can’t tell you how happy it made me to be featured and the Editor who did the story on me, Chantal Outon, wrote a gorgeous piece about my life and my music. Everyone at the magazine has been great. They are getting ready to celebrate their first anniversary as a magazine and you can find out more about the party they are throwing for it after the jump.
