First off, it’s my niece’s birthday and I know she is doing GREAT in school. RIGHT, HEATHER?? I know she isn’t spending too much time on the phone talking to boys. RIGHT, HEATHER?? And I am sure that she is keeping her promise to me to always follow her heart and sing like there’s no tomorrow.Happy Birthday, girl!
OK - onto business…
There I was, sitting in from of the iMac, working on a new poster, listening to the set list for this week’s shows when it hits me - (Ok - Roberto the Reminder hit me.) I haven’t updated the homepage in over a week. LAME!
So here it is, proof that I can’t keep up with a blog because I am obviously too busy doing super cool stuff like rehearsing and writing. That pays off for you though because I have some cool stuff going on this week and 3 new songs to boot! Make sure to follow the links that lead you over to Do512.com and click the “DoIt!” button for the events!
1. Tomorrow morning (That’s Wednesday, May 16th) at 9:20AM I am on KGSR with my very good friend Bryan Beck. You can listen on your FM radio or online.
2. Later in the evening, cool off with a cerveza, and Austin’s finest tacos at Maria’s Taco Xpress. The band takes the stage for a 90 minute set starting at 7PM. Watch out for bears!
3. Then… Are you sitting down?? Well GET UP! Come out and shake it because on Thursday night, the band and I are going to start playing happy hours at the Continental Club while The Mother Truckers are out on the road. We go on around 6:30 but if you get down to SoCo early enough, you might catch me across the street sippin’ on some chai with the gang at Jo’s Coffee.
I wasn’t picked for the Locals At La Zona Rosa for series one, but I hear that there is a second one in the works already and hopefully I will be on it. I mean, seriously- I was made to promote something like that, right?
Also, I have been told that the crew at ME TV loved my performance from the Emerging Artists Series at Antone’s so much that they chose it to be edited first. I don’t know if that means you’ll see it first on the tube, but one can only hope. I know I’m personally dying to see how that pink shirt turned out in HD. LOL!
OK - See you out there this week!
